How the module works
This module is in development and available for demos only. The following describes the development scope, not a commercial implementation commitment.
Encrypted database and file backups
Backup plans PostgreSQL and file backups, manually or on a queue-backed schedule. Sources, private local/S3 destinations and additional copies are server-approved. Files/manifests are encrypted before storage, read back for verification and tracked with progress and actor history.
Integrity checks and restore rehearsals
Verification and restoration are separate operations. The development version rehearses restoration into an empty database and isolated directory, with offline decryption tooling. Plan-based retention verifies a retained successful copy before expired backups are removed.
Implementation requirements
Backup is in development. Current scope is PostgreSQL/files, without MySQL, incremental backups or PITR. Durable workers, separate backup keys and isolated restore targets are required. Real S3 providers need deployment verification.
Frequently asked questions
Does a successful backup prove restoration works?
No. Integrity checks verify a copy; an actual rehearsal validates restoration to an isolated target. Rehearsal scope, timing and infrastructure are separately agreed.
Scope and costs
Existing features are included in the package. Additional development is quoted before work starts.

Entering and editing your data
You can add or edit information using existing fields and functions within the module’s permissions and configuration without a software customization fee. Data entry, cleanup or migration performed by Douwyn is quoted separately.
Separately priced customization
New fields or features, interface changes, business workflows, reports, specialized permissions and external integrations fall outside the standard scope.

Costs not included
Installation and deployment; data entry or migration; a custom website or application; hosting, domains and storage; third-party services and AI API usage. Required modules and integration packages are priced separately unless included in the quotation.
Agreement before additional work
Douwyn confirms requirements, scope, cost and timing before starting additional work with the customer’s agreement. Defects that prevent delivered features from meeting the agreed scope are distinguished from new requests and handled under the agreed warranty and support terms. Module pricing does not automatically include lifetime maintenance or upgrades.
Platform and integrations
These modules run on Douwyn Starter Kit with Laravel and Filament; they are not standalone applications. During the demo, Douwyn will check platform compatibility and your integration needs.
