Website Terms of Use

These terms apply when you access or use douwyn.com. They do not replace a separate agreement for services, paid work, or the licence attached to open-source software.

Scope
These terms cover the public website and do not replace a service agreement or software licence.
Lawful use
You may view and share links for lawful purposes, but must not gain unauthorised access, disrupt the service, or impersonate Douwyn.
Paid work
Scope, fees, ownership, confidentiality, and support are defined in a separate proposal or agreement.
Open source
The licence in the relevant code repository controls usage rights, including for Douwyn Starter Kit.

1. Scope and acceptance

By continuing to use the website, you agree to follow these terms and applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using the website.

“Douwyn” in these terms means Douwyn Solution Technology Co., Ltd.

2. Acceptable use

You may view, reference, and share links to public content for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Attempt unauthorised access, defeat security, overload, or disrupt the website.
  • Use the website to distribute malware, unlawful content, or material that infringes another person’s rights.
  • Collect data automatically at a scale that harms the service or bypasses access controls.
  • Impersonate Douwyn or misrepresent an engagement, endorsement, or authority to act.

3. Website content and accuracy

Content introduces capabilities, shares knowledge, and supports initial discussions. It is not legal or financial advice, nor a promise of results for a particular project.

Douwyn aims to keep information accurate and current but does not warrant that every item is complete, error-free, or suitable for every situation. Confirm important decisions in a direct discussion or separate written document.

4. Intellectual property and open source

Unless stated otherwise, the brand, design, text, and original assets on this website belong to Douwyn or are used lawfully. They may not be copied or commercially exploited beyond what law permits without written consent.

Open-source code is governed by the licence published in each repository. Douwyn Starter Kit is currently released under Apache License 2.0; the repository licence controls the rights to use that source code.

5. Third-party links and services

The website may link to GitHub, social platforms, infrastructure services, or other sources. Douwyn does not control their content, availability, or policies. Your access is subject to the third party’s terms.

6. Availability and security

Douwyn may change, suspend, or discontinue part of the website for maintenance, security, or improvement. The website is not promised to be continuously available or error-free.

You are responsible for protecting your device, email account, and credentials when interacting with the website or external links.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the website is provided as available. Douwyn is not liable for indirect loss arising solely from reliance on public website content or from a third-party service.

Nothing in these terms excludes a liability or mandatory right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Relationship to service agreements

A website enquiry does not itself create a service contract, agency, joint venture, or commitment to accept work. Scope, fees, ownership, confidentiality, acceptance, and support for paid work are set out in a separate proposal or agreement.

If a separate service document conflicts with these website terms, the separate document takes priority for that work.

9. Changes to these terms

Douwyn may update these terms when the website, operations, or legal requirements change. A new version takes effect when posted with its review date unless stated otherwise.

10. Raising and resolving concerns

If an issue arises in connection with the website, send the details to contact@douwyn.com so the matter can first be clarified directly. These terms do not limit rights or obligations that apply mandatorily by law.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms or permission to use content can be sent to contact@douwyn.com.
