Douwyn Starter Kit is a backend foundation built by Douwyn for products that use Nuxt on the frontend, Laravel for APIs and backend services, and Filament as a private administration and monitoring surface. The core and the @douwyn/nuxt-api client are available under the Apache 2.0 license.

The problem

SaaS and operational software projects repeatedly need the same foundation: authentication, permissions, user administration, login sessions, and API contracts. Supporting browsers, SSR, and native clients at the same time can make those security flows fragmented and difficult to operate.

The solution

Starter Kit brings those capabilities into one structured codebase: email or authenticator-app MFA, hashed recovery codes, role-based access, individual session revocation, encrypted profile data, security telemetry, and Filament administration.

Sanctum supports stateful Nuxt sessions and bearer credentials for mobile clients. Refresh tokens rotate, remain bound to a device, and include reuse detection. Protected OpenAPI 3.1 documentation and generated TypeScript contracts keep the Laravel–Nuxt boundary explicit.

An extensible foundation

The open-source core installs independently. Its platform contract and module registry allow separate modules to attach resources, pages, widgets, migrations, routes, and commands without editing the root panel configuration.

Practical value

Douwyn Starter Kit provides a reusable starting point for Laravel and Nuxt products, with clear boundaries between the frontend, API, and administration surface. New development can focus earlier on product-specific domain logic.
