Commerce licence delivery

Connect Commerce and Licensing to create entitlements after order settlement.

Module capabilities

  • Connect Commerce and Licensing to create entitlements after order settlement.

Who is it for?

Request a demo to assess fit. This module is in development and is not available for commercial implementation.

How the module works

This module is in development and available for demos only. The following describes the development scope, not a commercial implementation commitment.

Digital entitlements after payment

Commerce Licensing maps products/variants to Licensing products and plans. Successful settlement creates entitlements per purchased unit or order line. Licenses await delivery without a raw credential; authenticated owners claim a key once.

Refunds and exceptions

Full refunds use suspend, revoke or manual-review policies. Partial refunds require item-level reconciliation because an amount does not identify the refunded digital units. Guests require manual review. Snapshots and idempotency protect issuance when workers retry.

Implementation requirements

Demo-only; compatible Commerce/Licensing, agreed mappings and event workers are needed. Raw keys are not automatically emailed or stored in order records.

Frequently asked questions

Is the key sent in the payment email?

The standard flow lets authenticated customers claim a key once. Workers create pending entitlements to avoid leaking or losing credentials during delivery. Other delivery channels require separate design.

Scope and costs

Existing features are included in the package. Additional development is quoted before work starts.

This is a proposed scope for demo evaluation, not a delivery commitment. Modules in development are not on sale or available for commercial implementation.

Included in the standard scope

Use of the module in one project with the capabilities listed on this page, subject to the version and scope confirmed in the quotation. The module price is not the cost of building a complete system.

Entering and editing your data

You can add or edit information using existing fields and functions within the module’s permissions and configuration without a software customization fee. Data entry, cleanup or migration performed by Douwyn is quoted separately.

Separately priced customization

New fields or features, interface changes, business workflows, reports, specialized permissions and external integrations fall outside the standard scope.

Examples requiring a separate quote: Sales-plan entitlement rules or a custom licence delivery workflow.

Costs not included

Installation and deployment; data entry or migration; a custom website or application; hosting, domains and storage; third-party services and AI API usage. Required modules and integration packages are priced separately unless included in the quotation.

Agreement before additional work

Douwyn confirms requirements, scope, cost and timing before starting additional work with the customer’s agreement. Defects that prevent delivered features from meeting the agreed scope are distinguished from new requests and handled under the agreed warranty and support terms. Module pricing does not automatically include lifetime maintenance or upgrades.

Platform and integrations

These modules run on Douwyn Starter Kit with Laravel and Filament; they are not standalone applications. During the demo, Douwyn will check platform compatibility and your integration needs.
